In partnership with the DepED Division Office, IBM Philippines granted three elementary schools in Pasig City with Young Explorer Units. These lucky schools were Rosario Elementary School (where the training was held), San Joaquin Elementary School, and Palatiw Elementary School. The three day training which is an essential part of the IBM KidSmart Early Learning Program happened on August 12-14, 2009. Thirty (30) teachers and two (2) school administrators
attended the training.
The turn over ceremony, which took place on August 13, 2009 was attended by different personalities from the DepED Office, IBM Philippines and The APC Center. There was a part of the event wherein the teachers from the recipient schools recited a pledge of commitment to the program (see the copy of the commitment below).
